I like people with old souls and young hearts.

You can pay for school, but you can't buy class. This blog is dedicated to things I find beautiful.

lunatrash replied to your post: I think the world just has too many people.

There is more than enough land and resources for everyone in the world… If we rid the world of the greedy people who have to be above everyone else and deprive others for their own gain then we’d all be happy.

Russia tried that, and it didn’t really work. The highest number of humans living an average modern lifestyle that the Earth can permanently sustain has been estimated at 500 million. At over 7 billion, we’re a little over that. If we want to bring it back to a workable level, each of the 7 billion people would have to start planting at least one tree every day, and only live and work within a 15 km radius.

That or work out completely clean energy and completely renewable resources.

Not to mention that much of the Earth’s land isn’t really liveable. Deserts don’t really count so much.

My guess is that we’re going to act like a virus, or any other bacterial culture living within a confined space. They multiply, and the population steadily increases, until it stabilises and levels out for a while, then, it begins to decline, because we have produced so much waste that we are poisoned by it.

Chances are we’re still pretty early in the cycle.
